The Zoo is intended for the protection, shelter and conservation of hundreds of species of animals.
This area harbors one of Beto Carrero's greatest passions: the animals. Here visitors can see giraffes, elephants, camels, lions, birds of various species and many other rare animals coming from all over the world. Among so many animals, visitors will find specific areas for certain species such as the Baboon Island, the Tigers' Walkway, and the Serpentary.
Currently, the Beto Carrero World Zoo is home to about 1,000 animals. Much more than a place destined for protection, we carry out the important work of conservation of species in extinction. Together with renowned institutions, Beto Carrero World works to preserve the Brazilian fauna, disseminating the importance of our animals through the awareness of visitors and society.
